How much does installation service cost?

Installation cost varies based on the cost of labor in your area and the extent of custom work required for your job. Our range starts at $99 per cabinet to $149 per cabinet. Contact your local Inside Job office to have a complete estimate provided for you based on your existing kitchen plan.

How long does the cabinet installation usually take?

We plan about one day for each seven cabinets in the kitchen, plus additional time if installation includes appliances or countertop. Typical installations are 2-3 days.

If I have already done my kitchen plan using the IKEA® Home Planner program, can Inside Job® improve my layout and find my mistakes?

Yes. Inside Job has installed more than 1,200 kitchens using the IKEA® AKURUM cabinet system. Our extensive experience allows us to be much more accurate and comprehensive with the overall kitchen plan. Customers usually know mostly what they are looking for in the final kitchen installation, but without the years of experience and intimate understanding of the IKEA system, the typical customer can't be expected to know everything to look for and plan around.

Does Inside Job provide installations in other places besides the cities in which you have offices?

If I already know the basic measurements of my kitchen, why does Inside Job need to measure again?

While the typical homeowner certainly can use a measuring tape, the Inside Job home measurement service provides you with much more than simply the measurements of the room. To avoid expensive mistakes and possible installation interferences, measurements are taken in specific ways that allow a more complete and accurate kitchen cabinet layout plan.

We also note:
- Electrical conditions, including location of existing receptacles and switches;
- Plumbing conditions, such as the location, orientation and type of existing plumbing (copper, PVC, galvanized, etc) in your home.
- Carpentry, flooring, ceiling finishes, wall types and finishes, and of course, the customer's needs, tastes and preferences.

Why do I need in-home planning services from Inside Job?

Effective planning is the foundation of a successful kitchen remodel. The relatively small investment of time and money for professional planning services provides a huge return in quality of the finished product.

The IKEA® Home Planner software provides basic functionality but is NOT comprehensive. Inside Job picks up where the IKEA Home Planner leaves off, providing accurate measurements and evaluation of the existing conditions in your kitchen. This service allows us to assist customers to create more effective and complete kitchen layouts, and helps to avoid costly ordering errors and wasted time in the installation process.

Sure. We often perform removal and demolition services for customers preparing to install an IKEA kitchen. How quickly can Inside Job arrange installation for my IKEA kitchen cabinets?

Our installations can usually be scheduled within a week or so of the time we get a customer's approval. Typically, we coordinate the installation with the customer's purchase of the IKEA cabinets, so that the time a customer is without their kitchen is limited.

Can Inside Job assist me with my cabinet order and purchase?
